Romaneira is one of the very last single Estate producers among Douro’s elite brands. With a total of 412 hectares and 2 Miles of river frontage on the river Douro, all our Red, White, Rosé, and Port wines are made exclusively from grapes from our vineyard.
The vineyard has 86 hectares planted mainly with the noble Douro grape varieties of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinto Cao, but also produces a small proportion of white grapes (Gouveio, Viosinho, Rabigato, and Boal).
QUINTA DA ROMANEIRA has a few experimental hectares of “exotic” grape varieties such as Syrah and Petit Verdot, producing exciting results.
