Our story melts with the tale of Bio’s family. The story is born from the family’s passion for its origins and people and perseverance to keep a local identity. A story that started on the left bank of River Guadiana, producing wine in Alentejo, now spreads out to other regions of Portugal and different products such as Olive Oil and Food.
In 2007 Manuel Bio became president of the cooperative winery Adega Granja Amareleja. He rebuilds a business in jeopardy, restoring its credibility and social and economic importance.
Today, the winery is responsible for 95% of the region’s production, driven by companies’ social responsibility. Expanding its business model, Abegoaria developed new projects in the Alentejo region and later in the Douro, Lisboa, Tejo, Dão, and Vinho Verde wine regions.
Always with the purpose to share the best of the Portuguese identity driver: our products and our people.
